Bantoh (pān-toh), a shared memory of Taiwanese people, is deemed the most representational of local food culture. The Grand Banquet is inspired by Taiwan’s bantoh culture. Despite its form - roadside dining and catering, bantoh provides its guests with an unforgettable dining experience. From cradle to grave, wedding to funeral, Taiwanese people celebrate important events of life with great feasts. As the game goes on, you’ll experience various banquets, taste different dishes, explore the finest Taiwanese cuisine, and learn all about bantoh in Taiwan.
HOW TO WIN
SEVEN BANQUETS WITH SIX DISHES EACH, STRETCH AND REACH, TAKE AS MUCH AS YOU WISH
There are SEVEN types of banquets, each consisting of SIX dishes. Each player stars with SIX hand cards. The goal is to complete all banquets by collecting the dishes listed on the Banquet Cards. The completed set should be put aside. The player who finishes collecting the most banquets wins. When the player puts together the entire set of menus, he wins a set of banquets; when the seven sets of banquets are all finished, the game ends, and the player who puts together the most sets of banquets wins! When the game progresses to the second half, you will be smart enough to know which banquets are held in your hands, and you will pick up the series one by one!

Immerse yourself in the joyous world of banquets through Instagram’s Sound Filter. Just retrieve the Function Cards from the box. Then open Instagram and turn on the sound on your device. Search for “yesginseng”. Press the “icon” and select The Grand Banquet Sound Filter to listen to the Taiwanese dialect narration.

HOW TO PLAY
Your Turn
Choose a player and ask if he/she has a dish in the menu of your “Banquet Card”. (A)
Or
Use a Function Card if holding one. The card then becomes invalid and the game goes back to Step A.
If "Yes"
When being asked, a player MUST hand out the card if he/she is holding it. The requester then continues asking another player in the same manner until failing.
If "No"
A turn ends when a player fails to acquire the card he/she requests. The player then draws a card from the stock pile and passes the turn to the next player. (back to Step A)
Other Player
Player uses “Chi Card” to intercept the "Banquet Card" obtained by Player A.
